Chapter l

Main research question and title

Important and basic principle in each research is research problem which is the first and basic step of research and all steps for writing, implementing and assembling proposal is done based on it. Objective experiences show that more than %50 success of thesis and research plans is in determining the problem. If this first step was good, implementing research and presenting results will be easy. Finding research problem is done in two axis which includes selecting problem based on experience and selecting problem based on recommendation and suggestions.

Finding research problem based on experience means that researcher, during diagnosis, treatment or teaching, finds out that there is a problems that s/he has no answer for it or it had not mentioned in books and previous teachings. In .fact, it is an experimental darkness for researcher and it is a basis for selecting a problem. But in second way, researcher finds problem by studies and recommendation and suggestion and deficiencies of previous research and by re-selecting that subject, he will resolve the deficiencies and will give reality. But the question is that what are advantages and disadvantages of these two methods?

In first part, if selected topic reaches to acceptable results, it resolves the problem of researcher and promotes occupational success of researcher. But weakness of this selection is due to lack of references for research that will be very difficult for young researcher. But if selection basis is second suggestion, its advantage is having research background and guide.
